Choir Memories
As we end the 2019-2020 school year we say goodbye to the very talented, kind and intelligent class of 2020. Even though your graduation traditions were altered this year, we want you to know how much fun we have had with you over your time at SHA and how much we will miss you!
We have had so many accomplishments this year as a choir! We had a very busy fall season, with many of our students participating in the fall musical Oklahoma! Wow, It was an amazing show! As we got closer to Christmas the Madrigals performed countless times, each performance special in it's own way. The Christmas season is always so much fun with Madrigals! The Freshmen and Sophomore Acapella girls caroled at The Grand assisting living facility. It was such an amazing experience, all the girls had so much fun singing and making memories with the community. We ended first semester with our wonderful Christmas Concert. It showcased our Acapella choir and Madrigal choir with special pieces from our Vocal Music class, Music Theory class and IB Music class. It was spectacular and the perfect way to end first semester. One of the most memorable moments was the Hallelujah Chorus with the current Acapella choir and all our Alumni.
As our second semester began many of our girls began work on the spring production Into the Woods! It is to be performed over video on June 10, 2020 (Purple Cast) and June 16, 2020 (Green Cast). Make sure to watch and support our casts! The Madrigal and Acapella choirs began work for the spring concert and for another exciting upcoming event--KMEA! This is the first year Sacred Heart has been in a little while and we performed exceptionally. Both our Madrigal choir and Acapella choir received a 1 on scoring and were sent to state! Sadly, our second semester was cut short and sent to online rehearsals. However, we have continued to put in hard work on school, choir and our musical. We have created multiple video song performances, practiced our sight reading and continued to meet for online rehearsals.
Ultimately, this year was full of highs and lows but we have had so much fun together and put in lots of work! We would like to thank our parents and family for their unconditional support this year. Also to the class of 2020, we love you and will miss you so much next year! Thank you for all the amazing memories!
